When i fitted up the throttle linkage on the Manta A i found that the standard Webcon linkage control lever that connects the two throttle bodies together it was too short to reach the second throttle body? I contacted webcon and they said they only did the one kit and that was a standard size! So after lots of Googleing and no luck i decided to get a bit welded onto the standard one as it seemed the only option.
So £10 later i pick the control lever up from the welders, and well what can i say! i could have done a crap job like that myself. So disappointed i decide i best fit it and sort a better solution later. Now when i go to fit it i have lost the nut, Doh! so a quick call to webcon to see if i can get a new one and while im chatting to the sales guy he asked how i managed to loose it i explain that what a pain its been trying to sort this out and he says, we sell an extended one!!! it wont fit straight on as it doesn’t have the extra fittings but you could double up and use the old one (minus the crap extended bit) and that would fit to the linkage and the extended one would just activate the second carb! brilliant idea, if only the tech guy from webcon had mentioned this! So if you are looking for and extended Male throttle lever for twin throttle bodies or an extended Male throttle lever for twin carbs (added that twice for google to pick up!) then contact webcon and ask for part , it wasn’t expensive and works perfect!
